The '''[http://www.folsomstreetfair.com Folsom Street Fair(TM)]''' is the world's largest public [[leather]]/[[fetish]] lifestyle event held each year (for the past 25 years!) on the last Sunday of September in the South of Market district of San Francisco, CA (i.e., SOMA on Folsom Street between 7th & 12th Streets--a one mile stretch of open roadway in the city's industrial zone). The Folsom Street Fair is produced in conjunction with '''MAGNITUDE(R)''' (i.e., the premier dance event of FSF Weekend), '''UP YOUR ALLEY(R)''' (i.e., a smaller, more intimate [[leather]]/[[fetish]] street fair held on the final Sunday of July, each year, at the intersection of Folsom Street & Dore Alley), and '''BAY OF PIGS(TM)''' (i.e., the premier dance event of UYA Weekend).

Through the production of street fairs, Folsom Street Events promotes diversity within the leather/alternative lifestyle, highlighting entertainment, service and vendors. Proceeds from the production of the fairs are distributed to organizations which promote a sense of community, diversity, cooperation, health and human services." ==$4 MILLION in 25 YEARS of GIVING==


One hundred percent of the proceeds from all of FSE's major events, plus portions of Sponsors' contributions & grant monies, directly benefit up to 25 local-area Beneficiaries (e.g., Major & Supporting) and benefit as well a growing list of organizations in the FSE National Community Grants Program, all together pursuing the causes of Health & Human Services, Social Welfare, HIV/AIDS Advocacy, and the Arts. At the end of the 2008 25th Anniversary Event Season, Folsom Street Events donated $339,725.00USD to over 60 different local, regional, state & national charitable organizations, with maximum single gifts of up to $30,000.00USD going to Major Beneficiaries. The 2008 Event Season brought Folsom Street Events ever so close to the $4 Million USD mark in charitable giving over their 25-year philanthropic history.
