The following text describes the mutually beneficial affiliation between these two groups, across countries & oceans--coming together to broaden the celebration of the [[leather]]/[[fetish]] adult alternative lifestyles globally:

"In 2003, Folsom Street Events began discussions with a group of dedicated and engaged leather men from Germany about the possibility of taking the ideas, principles and concepts that make Folsom Street Fair(tm) so successful here in San Francisco and using them to create a world class leather event in Berlin. In early 2004 we concluded an agreement with Folsom Europe e.V. in Berlin.

"Folsom Europe premiered in 2004 and [had] its fifth event in Berlin-Schöneberg on Saturday, September 6, 2008. From 12:00 noon until 10:00pm Europe's Leather-Fetish scene [presented] itself in the Fuggerstr. / Welser Str. area. At the Street Fair there [were] associations, nightclubs, bars and enterprises from the Berlin and European scenes as well as the sponsors of Folsom Europe. Well known DJs from the Berlin Club scene [performed] live gigs.

Every September since 2004, after their fair closes, the organizers of '''FOLSOM EUROPE''' have joined the [[leather]]/[[fetish]] family of men from '''RECON''' in coming to San Francisco for the '''FOLSOM STREET FAIR(TM)''' to share in the global adult alternative lifestyles celebrations.
