A plug gag is a gag in which a plug is held in the mouth by being attached to a strap fastened round the head. Such plugs are often shaped like a penis. The plugs are usually of rubber, and the straps either rubber or leather.
Such gags are of limited use in silencing a victim unless enhanced with mouth stuffing.
