Skort

Skort is a portmanteau word, from skirt and shorts. It is a garment that is basically a pair of shorts but has a panel of material across the front designed to make it look like a miniskirt from the front, though not the rear.
Skorts may be made in a wide variety of materials, including leather and rubber. They may be cut so that the shorts part is very tight, like a pair of hotpants.
Skorts are sometimes worn by netball players to avoid giving upskirt glimpses of panties when they are leaping around.
The term is also sometimes used to mean shorts with a skirt attached at the waistband that completely covers the shorts.
