Omniviant
a word to describe multipliciously deviant persons. Derived from Omni [< Latin omnis < Indo-European, "abundance, to produce"] and Deviant [14th century. < late Latin deviant-, present participle of deviare meaning "To depart from the way"]
First coined within the alt.com blogs (May 2005) and adopted by persons who felt that the word "Switch" was inadequate (even offensive) to accurately describe persons who did not feel that they "switched" between Dominant and submissive roles as much as they were both roles at any one given time.
The word "switch" in usage often implies a swap/exchange between states.
Therefore it was felt that this identity of duality called for a new word to be coined.
