'''Control freak''' is typically a derogatory term, used to indicate someone who is overbearing, arrogant and likes to control other people.

It is mostly used by [[vanilla]] people, but it is also used within the [[BDSM]] [[lifestyle]] as a way to differentiate from, or sometimes explain the behaviour of, a [[dominant]].  A control freak is likely to be a particularly rough and unpleasant dominant, who may appeal to a [[doormat]].
