I have had a crotch rope as part of bondage several times. Often I have been naked; the rope has then penetrated deeply into my front and rear, which can be painful. A thong affords a little protection at the front, but none at the rear. Full panties or a bikini bottom offer more protection, but I can still feel the rope.
A crotch rope is generally fixed at the front to a rope around my waist. It may be fixed to it at the rear too, or to wrist bonds. In hte latter case, of course, it forces me to keep my wrists pressed tightly against my back.
A crotch rope has never stimulated me. It is impossible for a tight rope to rub gently anywhere, even with strategically placed knots.
