Two women tied together with duct tape

Duct tape or gaffer tape is a strong, fabric-based adhesive tape. It is usually silver or black in colour but other colours are available. It is usually 1.88 inches (48 mm) wide.

It may be used as a pervertible to make tape gags and blindfolds, and as a bondage aid, especially for covering the victim's fingers to prevent undoing knots.

Its main disadvantage is that it can hurt when peeled off the skin. If this is a problem, bondage tape may be used instead. However, it is harder for a bound victim to remove duct tape.

A particularly strong form of duct tape is sold under the name gorilla tape.
