An idea for a flag for the imagined planet Gor, the setting of John Norman's series of science fiction novels. The design makes use of simple circular and rectangular shapes only. The planet Gor is shown surrounded by a protective golden circle (proclaimed by the caste of Initiates to be the symbol of the Priest-Kings), accompanied by its three moons; also the sun (known as "light upon the Home Stone") is shown, with Earth behind. (Gor has a higher proportion of land area than earth, as explained in Gor book 34 "Plunder".) At bottom are stripes of the colors of the five high castes (as in the Koroban council chamber). Blue is the color of the caste of Scribes and yellow the caste of Builders, but juxtaposed they recall the blue and yellow combined which are the colors of the Slavers (usually considered a non-high caste or subcaste); see Image:Gorean-slavers-caste-banner.gif.

A variant of this flag could have a home stone symbol shown on the land area of the central circle, since the meaning of the planet name Gor is "home stone" in the Gorean language. (This would require going beyond using circular and rectangular shapes only; a simple arch keystone depiction could be used, as a shorthand way of conveying the meaning "important stone.)
