File:Labanotation-Gorean-dance.png
An attempted representation in the "Labanotation" dance writing system of the most common Gorean "initial posture" or "basic position of the slave dance" as described in John Norman's series of Gor novels. The columns inside the box indicate "low support" (i.e. standing with knees flexed), while the column immediately to the right of the box shows that the ribcage is lifted. The next outer columns show that the upper arms are raised to the sides, while the connecting arc at the bottom, and the symbols directly above it, show that the backs of the wrists are touching each other (above the head). Finally, the symbols at the top of the outside columns show that the palms of the hands are facing out (to the sides)...
