Some alternative artistic variants of the Gorean kajira Kef or "staff and fronds" symbol. Those versions of the kajira kef which more or less strictly follow author John Norman's descriptions of the Kef in his series of "Gor" novels are included in the previously-uploaded images File:Kajira-kef.png and File:Gorean-brands-kefs-dinas.png. This image is for those who may be interested in ideas for Kef shapes which take Norman's descriptions as a starting point (see the quotes on page File:Kajira-kef.png), but depart from them in various ways, attempting to achieve a modified aesthetic. All shapes are constrained by limitations of standard font formats (where filling a shape with an unspecified foreground color onto an unspecified background color is the only operation allowed).

First line
1) A Kef with opened fronds with large floral terminations. 2) A strongly bolded version of the Kef. 3) An ornate all-curves version of the Kef, whose quasi-floral fronds do not consistently curve upward, but which almost enclose a heart-like shape. 4) Kef variant with symmetrical fronds which fully enclose a heart shape.
Second line
5) A loose variation of the Kef which fits within a square (the most classic kajira Kef is about three times as high as it is wide overall, as in File:Gorean-brands-kefs-dinas.png). 6) Another loose artistic interpretation of the Kef (a silhouette). 7) A basic knotwork Kef version, which keeps to the formula of the classic kajira Kef (a wide vertical stroke connected to two upward-curving delicate floral fronds to the right, joined together near its base) as closely as possible while using interlaced straight lines and circular arcs aligned on a 45° grid (and also staying within the complexity limits of a font character).
Third line
8) Another version with the floral fronds replaced by the silhouette of a woman, this time shown kneeling in an actual Gorean position, and implied to be at the feet of a man (and with a resemblance more to a lowercase "k", rather than an uppercase "K"). 9) A more "k"-like Kef contrasting a thick swashed vertical stroke vs. narrow fronds with small quasi-floral terminations. 10) An irregular interpretation of the Kef, with few symmetries. 11) An ornate spiral (non-floral) Kef variant (slightly italic).

Here's PostScript vector source code for the last of these (the spiral Kef); the others will be included in a future release of the "Gorean Brands and Symbols" font (the eighth is a mirror-reversed version of a font character, with an added rectangle):
