The French maid thing may have been one of the influences (among a number of others) on this "Gothic lolita[sic] cosplay", but overall it's fairly remote from what most people probably have in mind when they envision the archetypal sexy French maid costume... I think the dress is very much in the Japanese Gothic and Lolita style, I have a Phaidon book on the subject and they specifically link it to the maid style. I think the best source of a fetish maid shot would be one of the designers, I am sure they would be happy to have a picture on the site if we give them a link back to their site [[User:Balzac|Balzac]] 19:35, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
