- That's why I said Edwardianized 50's waitress, not "Edwardian". The French maid thing may have been one of the influences (among a number of others) on this "Gothic lolita[sic] cosplay", but overall it's fairly remote from what most people probably have in mind when they envision the archetypal sexy French maid costume...
