Hair fetishism is fascination with, or sexual excitement derived from, hair. Before the 20th century, hair fetishism was termed "trichomania", and most often took the form of men who were obsessed with women's long freely-flowing hair (at the time, adult women in Western societies did not ordinarily wear their hair unbound and freely-flowing in public).
