Internal enslavement (aka, "absolute subjugation") is the process of psychological and psychosocial changes in a person involved in a total power exchange relationship so that they maintain a solid and inescapable state of ownership. While it can happen in illegal slavery, it is a necessary part of consensual enslavement as the antonym, external enslavement, will necessarily involve continuous and unfulfilling imprisonment.
