Nipple torture
Nipple torture, often termed tit torture' is the technique of applying stress to one or both of the nipples, especially for prolonged periods or at regular intervals. This would normally be done in the context of a BDSM scene, but may form part of punishment, be used to humiliate a sub, or as training. It may involve compression, pinching, vacuum enlargement, needles, percussion, 'hot' creams, abrasion, or some combination. Concentration of attention is usually intended, and pain or discomfort is commonly included, but very often, the 'pain' is merged into a masochistic pleasure.
Nipple torture can be used on both male and female submissives. For many, nipple torture can be highly sexually arousing. In homosexual contexts, the action my be mutual; within BDSM, it can be viewed as an entire subculture of the leather community.
Men into tit torture show up at leather bars with their shirts open, ready for action. They sometimes have nipple clamps somehow arranged in a suggestive way on their habit. While many forms of sadomasochism have questionable legality, some practitioners consider the activity entirely legal in most American and Commonwealth gay bars.
Nipple torture in men is, at its simplest, a progressively more coarse feeling the nubs, twisting them, pressuring them., flicking them roughly with a fingernail, abrading with nails, or even biting them. When women are the sub, the entire breast is subject to process.
With gay men, the harder they hurt, the more one can become aroused. In Europe, this is the time to go into the dark room. Some US bars maintain back rooms, where the same happens.
The most common nipple torture technique is the application of nipple clamps to the victim's nipples. Nipple clamps are items that pinch the nipples. Some have adjustable settings so the pressure can be customized or varied. Others work only by a single spring mechanism and do not allow for pressure adjustment. Nipple clamps can also be used on other areas of the body, such as the labia lips, scrotum, etc. It's a good idea to test the clamps on the skin of the inner wrist or the webbing between the thumb and forefinger, to get an accurate "reading" of the level of intensity. If it's bearable, and tolerable within that threshold of pain/pleasure, they will usually be suited for the nipples or labia or scrotem!
The use of medical clamps such as hemostats are also popular, particularly among the leather BDSM community, allowing progressively heavier weights to attached, especially when the subject is restrained. The weights used can be anything, but lead fishing weights, obtainable at any sporting-goods store are the cheapest and most flexible. Heavy vise clamps are also used, but the grasping surface has to be padded (a piece of leather and duct tape works well).
Temporary piercing among leathermen is also a form of nipple torture, and forms a smaller subset of the larger tit torture scene. This brings in sanitation issues, as blood and other bodily fluids can be exchanged, as well the risk of simple infection. Great care must be exercised in this scene and very thorough cleansing afterwards is a must. The pleasure derived is from the sudden prick through the nipple, and then the sub seeing himself so-pierced in a mirror. Weights may be brought into the scene once a suitable supporting scaffold of piercings are in place.
Another common technique is the application of suction cups to the nipples. Using suction on nipples pulls fluid (blood, intestitial fluid, lymph, etc) into the nipple, usually very rapidly. This usually makes the nipple tissue more sensitive and swollen. Leave the suction on only for a few (perhaps 10-15 minutes) minutes at a time. Light bruising may occur; this is normal. "Snake bite kits", available at many sex shops, are used for this.
Other techniques involve placing small rubber bands around the base of the nipple to force its protrusion. This can also be done by tying thin string around the base of the nipple. Caution is needed to ensure the pressure provided by the string / rubber band is not enough to cut the skin.
Many, especially those in the leather scene, actually want their nipples to be very sore, even reduced to crusted messes, as the sensitivity of the nipples lasts many hours, even days, proving a continuous erotic pleasure. Once into the scene, many want to have their areolae permanently deformed, by bying protracted forward, leaving long tubes, and erasing any suggestion of an areola. Men at this state often have areolae tatooed on around their nipples.
Abrasion techniques use emery boards and sandpaper. This must be done carefully, as the nipples usually then become hyper-sensitive. This practice is sometimes done autoerotically, to cause a sustained days-long erotic pleasure as one's shirt rubs against the tender nipples.
Wax can also be dripped on to the nipples but great care must be taken; if the wax is too hot, it will burn the skin.
