Sex change

Sex change is the physical and/or legal transition from one social gender to the other.
A full sex change requires substantial surgery and other treatment. It is usually from male to female, but the reverse change is possible. Some people feel that they are trapped in a body of the wrong sex, and thus feel the need to make this change.
