Subservience is an attitude exhibited by some submissive people that makes them willing and often eager to defer to another person - sometimes other people in general - and comply with their wishes. Some subservient people enjoy being humiliated.
At its extreme, subservience is exhibited as cringing obsequiousness and becoming a doormat.
