This occurs even in the Gor books (though many would not expect it), in which it can be viewed indulgently if it's limited to a kajira keeping up at least a superficial facade of submissiveness to successfully wheedle little personal perks from her master. However, if a kajira tries to assume the dignities or privileges of a free woman, or deals with third parties to attempt to benefit from her knowledge of or influence over her master, that's generally viewed very negatively...
