Talk:BDSM equipment suppliers

In my opinion this list will need some careful managemnt. My idea when setting it up was to build a list of equipment suppliers that have a unique selling proposition either by virtue of the quality of their wares, that they are specialist in a particular area of BDSM, or that they have an extremely wide range of products. What I was not planning was to have every company that sells vibrators and dodgy leather cuffs to have a listing here. As the site becomes more popular I think there is a risk that owners will use this list as free advertising and the list could become overlarge and unweildy as a result. As a general rule I think that links which appear to be added by the owner of the site should be removed. The entry by NickandMorphia is an interesting exception to this. While it an attempt and free advertising for their site it is also a site taht I would have added myself if I had come across it first, so I think we will need to be flexible with this rule. Could we protect the page and leave a notice that anyone who wants an addition should put it on your talk page, or a page specifically created for the purpose (e.g. [[User:Balzac/suppliers]])?--Taxwoman 23:55, 4 September 2006 (BST)

Bonkum created an article on Wikipedia that's going to get deleted ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Bonkum ); they should have made it here... AnonMoos 01:15, 7 November 2006 (GMT)

It is an interesting problem, if it had been just another company selling BDSM equipment I would have deleted their entry as self publicity but since it is a genuinly notable product I am happy to let it remain. If he had tried to create a separate article as he did in the wikipediaI think I would have deleted that though. Balzac 08:59, 7 November 2006 (GMT)
