I am very surprised by this.  Where is the BDSM in most of the clothing articles, such as bikini, stockings or miniskirt?  I am unconvinced by the arguments that AIDS is in any way BDSM related and note that AnonMoos does not pretend that zoophilia is.  Anyway, I have tried to give a more fetish slant to the article.--Catsuit (talk) 13:03, 26 August 2012 (BST)

:: Thanks Catsuit.  I'm all for safety tips, but the primary function of this site is fetish, followed by BDSM.  Safety tips are of quite subsidiary importance.  That's what it clearly says on the main page.  Of course bondage art is likely to depict the victim in sexy clothing, but that doesn't mean that all the articles about types of clothing are there for that purpose.  How much bondage art of ca. the 1940s depicts leotards, catsuits, bikinis or tights?  Anyway, I'm sure that Catsuit's edits inject enough fetish into the article.--Markova (talk) 22:50, 26 August 2012 (BST)

Now this is ridiculous. Far be it from me to tell the administrator of this site how to run things, but this is a fetish site. Great that we have safety info, but surely the first consideration is the fetish. And this article is certainly far more relevant to the primary aim of this site than the stuff you refused to delete in April, remember? And any progress in getting image upload fixed?--Leafman (talk) 16:19, 28 August 2012 (BST)

Doesn't appear to have much BDSM relevance as it stands, except for the links... AnonMoos (talk) 18:27, 21 August 2012 (BST)

I'm sure I've said this before. Articles here do not need to be "of BDSM relevance". The main page says clearly that "Wipipedia is a (sic) on-line encyclopaedia of all things fetish and SM". There are many articles with no BDSM references. Will you query Zoophilia or AIDS for example? Some info is needed to explain the linked articles. You could copy it into those articles, but it would be unnecessary repetition.--Markova (talk) 22:52, 22 August 2012 (BST)
It kind of does need to be BDSM-relevant (though not always in a manner in which BDSM is directly-mentioned in the article). AIDS is a health/biology-related article (like "Penis" etc.), as well as a warning about possible negative consequences article (see also "Female genital mutilation" etc.). If "fairy" is purely about fairy-tale winged creatures in child-oriented depictions in mainstream culture, with no explanation as to why anyone would connect them in any way with sexuality, then it's a little problematic... AIDS is something which can go wrong as a result of sexual scenes, and so fits in with our sexual-health-related and safety tips type articles. And many people have highly sexualized associations with bikinis, stockings, and miniskirts. Bondage art of ca. the 1940s (Bill Ward etc.) almost always shows the women wearing stockings, often with the stocking tops one of the focuses of attention.. Thanks Catsuit.
Unless you think that we should always assume that everything will go perfectly right (and so take no thought for the possibility that sometimes things may go wrong), then safety-tips type articles are far more important for Wipipedia than articles on mythological creatures with no claimed or demonstrated sexual relevance... It's not "ridiculous" to point out that the state of the article as it was initially written was somewhat lacking in material to clarify relevance to this site. As for images, I've succeeded in uploading an image almost a month ago, but thumbnails do not appear to work... P.S.
