Vorarephilia

Vorarephilia is the fantasy fetish of being devoured or of devouring another. It most often refers to cannibalism and normally at least one party is human but (especially with the shortened form vore) it is also used to describe the fetish or sexual excitement involved of any creature (including a machine) devouring another.

Also often included in this reference is the preparation of a human as food, by cooking or skinning, for example.

Vorarephilia is only a fantasy. Practised in reality in any way, it would be a very serious crime.

Although at first it may sound a harsh fantasy, the usual scenario is that the victim actually enjoys it, or is rescued from it in the nick of time, especially with gynophagia (where the victim is a woman). Rather than images of torture and pain, the fetish has more to do with comic-book "damsal in distress" scenes as featured in children's stories and films (think of the story Little Red Riding Hood, for example).

Vorarephilia is popular in the furry fandom, mainly because that is more believable, as it involves animals being predator and prey, for example an anthropomorphic wolf eating an anthropomorphic rabbit.
