Wikipedia

Wikipedia is the source of the "Wiki" system software Wipipedia uses. It is descended from the original Wiki established in Oregon seom years before. The version of the software used on Wipipedia is MediaWiki, which was developed for the Wikipedia adn is being maintained by the WikeFoundation.

Wikipedia is an international project in many languages, with main servers in the USA and supporting servers in Europe and Korea. Like Wipipedia, it is a website based on MediaWiki that is written collaboratively by volunteers, allowing articles to be changed by anyone with access to the website.

Intolerance toward the BDSM community on Wikipedia

• Deletion of the Category "Kinky Wikipedians" on 18th December 2005 — There are many categories like this in Wikipedia:Category:Wikipedians, about categories such as politics, sexuality and political beliefs. BDSM however was the "last straw".
