Abrasion play
From wipipedia.org

Abrasion play is the use of various rough items to rub the skin, either of oneself or someone else, with varying intensity depending upon the item being used to cause the abrasions, how hard it is pressed against the skin and how many times the area is gone over with the implement. The play usually involves making the skin red, often making scratches. Sometimes blood is drawn; in that case, the usual precautions against infection are essential.
Examples of materials used in abrasion play could be sandpaper, a file, fingernails or hairbrushes.
In extreme cases, this could amount to torture.
