Abrasion play is the use of various rough items to rub the skin, either of oneself or someone else, with varying intensity depending upon the item being used to cause the abrasions and how many times the area is gone over with the implement.
Examples of materials used in abrasion play could be sandpaper, fingernails or brushes.
In extreme cases, this could amount to torture.
