Chemical play

Chemical play refers to any form of sensation play involving the use of mild irritants such as wintergreen oil, menthol, Tabasco sauce, and the like to create sensation.
As a lot of substances used in chemical play are slow-burning and often long-lasting, this kind of activity can be used towards the end of any session so that the submissive can continue to feel the effects for an extended period.
