Nipple torture is the technique of applying pain to the nipples, especially for prolonged periods or at regular, frequent intervals. This would normally take part in the context of a BDSM scene but may form part of punishment or be used to humiliate a sub, perhaps in public without anyone knowing the reason for the pain.
Nipple torture can be used on both male and female submissives. For many women, nipple torture can be highly sexually arousing, even if the woman tries to avoid being aroused.
The most common nipple torture technique is the application of nipple clamps to the victim's nipples. Needle play can also be used.
