A nose shackle is a device, often consisting of a metal clamp with adjustable jaws which can be opened or closed by means of a screw, designed to clamp onto a person's nose. When clamped, the nose shackle cannot be removed by the wearer, either because it is locked in some way or the waarer is in bondage. This may be used as a means of affixing a chain or leash, allowing a captive to be restrained by the nose shackle.
