Orgasm control is a sexual practice consisting of control of a passive partner's orgasm by an active partner. Typically the active partner will stimulate the passive partner to a point just short of orgasm and then reduce or stop the stimulation so that the orgasm doesn't occur. This can be repeated as often as desired. The experience is so intense that eventually the passive partner will be unable to remain still, so for the most intense experience possible the passive partner is securely tied (see sexual bondage).

The point of orgasm control is to prolong the intense sexual sensations that occur just before orgasm. It is a form of negative feedback.

Orgasm control requires a high degree of skill on the part of the active partner, because if the stimulation is reduced too soon, the experience is not as intense, but if it is reduced too late, orgasm will occur, so ending it.

One experience of orgasm control is described in the section called "slow masturbation" in the popular book The Joy of Sex. However any form of sexual stimulation can be used by the active partner, not just manual stimulation.

Despite the use of bondage, orgasm control need not involve BDSM in any way or the more prolonged practices of Erotic sexual denial. For many people the motivations of the passive partner are easier to understand than those of a Bottom (BDSM).
