I'm using the search form at [http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/cgi-bin/vor?full=1&collection=Perseus:collection:Greco-Roman&lang=en&doc=Perseus:text:1999.01.0198], and I'm coming up with zero hits on tetrakormidai, tetracormidae, maioniai, or maeoniae.  Furthermore, according to [http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/cgi-bin/ptext?doc=Perseus%3Atext%3A1999.01.0198], Strabo's Book 7 seems to be divided into fewer than 59 chapters.  Furthermore, a search of the Scott and Liddell lexicon [http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/cgi-bin/resolveform?lookup=tetrako&type=begin&lang=greek&searchText=&options=Sort+Results+Alphabetically&.submit=Submit&formentry=1&lang=greek turns up zero results for Tetrakormidai] and also turns up no signicant results for Maioniai.

Given all this, and the article's particular history, the burden of proof really seems to be on User:Fflidge to provide some form of documentable verifiable evidence for the article to stay on Wipipedia... [[User:AnonMoos|AnonMoos]] 17:09, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Almost certainly a hoax, but I see no harm in it otherwise :-) Balzac 15:33, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

It seems rather bizarre to me -- a facetious joke pseudo-theory dreamed up to "explain" the broken-off arms of Venus de Milo statues taken up by an amputation fetishist, or something like that... AnonMoos 17:51, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm using the search form at [1], and I'm coming up with zero hits on tetrakormidai, tetracormidae, maioniai, or maeoniae. Furthermore, according to [2], Strabo's Book 7 seems to be divided into fewer than 59 chapters. Furthermore, a search of the Scott and Liddell lexicon turns up zero results for Tetrakormidai and also turns up no signicant results for Maioniai.

Given all this, and the article's particular history, the burden of proof really seems to be on User:Fflidge to provide some form of documentable verifiable evidence for the article to stay on Wipipedia... AnonMoos 17:09, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
