A vaginal speculum

A speculum is a medical tool for investigating body cavities.

In the BDSM context, the most common types used are vaginal and anal specula. The dom may use them to open the anus and vagina respectively, either to induce pleasurable sensations in the sub or as part of an intimate examination during medical play.
