Wikimedia Commons is a companion site to Wikipedia. It hosts photos and other media, licensed under {{GFDL}} or similar, allowing them to be used on all of the other sites controlled by the Wikimedia Foundation and to be copied onto other sites, including Wipipedia.
Many photos have been copied from Wipipedia; for example [1] and [2]
